Yes you can go for religious purposes as well as other ways.
There are conditions and you will need to obtain a license for travel into Cuba. Going to Cuba legally is possible if you go as a volunteer, for a humanitarian project, education purposes, journalism, and the like (and again for religious purposes).
Check out the links. They'll tell you exactly out how to go about it and how to obtain your license for travel.
Hope this helps. |

You cannot go to Cuba as a tourist. Only individuals in certain professions can go there (there is a list on the Homeland Security Website, listed below).
You cannot get there though Mexico or any other country, either. If you are a US citizen and carry a US passport, you cannot enter Cuba from any other country (going through Mexico doesn't make you a citizen of Mexico, so it doesn't matter what their relationship with Cuba is).

Individuals can't alone, but religious organizations can get licences to.
And no, you can't go to Cuba through a third country. You'll get caught when you re-enter the US. |

I thought no one who is a legal resident of the USA could go to Cuba. |

There are certain exemptions, legitimate religious groups, journalists, etc. Check the site below. EDIT:Mr.Jim Lahey is way off base,.Cubans welcome Americans with open arms Americans are not returned to the U. S. at their expense. That's complete nonsense. |

it is best to fly to Cuba from another country, like MX or Canada. Flights are high from toronto, but would be less from Cancun. I heard you do NOT want your passport stamped in Cuba, as US customs agents cause delays when you return to the USA. |

You can travel legally to Cuba from the U.S. with a State Department issued travel license. The links for more information and to obtain the license can be found at http://www.MyCubaFest.com as well as directly from the U.S. State Department site. Licenses are issued for Family, Religious organizations and humanitarian groups. There are other conditions set by the State Department with respect to spending money in Cuba. |

Michelle Moore got investigated and concidered helping evil doers when he went to Cuba. (He still went--all acusation were dropped!)
So unless you have connection with Michelle Moore, not a chance you'll go.
Sorry.

Cuba is a Communist country. Check with a Travel Agent. |

Since the Bush admin. has been putting an even tighter squeeze on Cuba the last few years, it will be even harder for you to get the proper permits to go to Cuba. Flying out of Mexico or Canada might allow you fly into Cuba...but when you get there they'll likely ship you back at your expense.
Besides, yankees aren't well welcomed in Cuba (the ones that DO get the licensing to go) for obvious political reasons. I would just go someplace else man. The closest thing you'll probably ever get to Cuba is Miami man. |

Well no you can't take a flight to Cuba. If you live on the southern side of Texas you can travel to Mexico and then take a flight from there and then it would be legal since Cuba and Mexico do not have as many problems as Cuba and America. |
