I took an NCL cruise this year to the Bahamas on the 'Gem' and I packed wayyyy too much. From experience I can tell you the only things you will need are:
Underwear and Swim Suit..of course
***NO TOWELS***- they give them to you and you can even take them off the ship
Flip Flops
Comfortable Sneakers and maybe 2 pair of socks
a couple of tank tops
a couple of skirts or shorts Make sure one of your skirts are semi dressy maybe a flowy nylon/spandex blend so you can dress up if you have dinner at one of the dressy restaurants
a pair of sweat pants for the gym or port days
your toiletries- dont pack shampoo/conditioner or a blow dryer cause they have it in the cabins
and maybe a sarong or cover-up for walking on the decks
and a light sweater or jacket to wear.
Believe me, thats all you need. I came back with sooo many clothes that I didnt wear cause what I named above was all I wore.
Have Fun!

make sure you have a bathing suit because i stayed in my bathing suit almost the entire time. depending on if you are going to the dinners at night might want to bring a formal dress for the formal night. they have shampoo/toothpaste/soap/etc. all of your shower stuff so don't bring that. you won't actually be wearing a lot of different outfits. it's amazing how laid back a lot of people dress. also, if you're going on excursions (and you know ahead of time what you're doing) you might want to bring tennis shoes if you'll be walking a lot or sunscreen if you'll be out on the beach. just don't pack too many outfits, that will take up space and you won't use it! have fun :) i'm a little jealous!

Don't pack jewelry or anything else that's valuable. If you must have them, keep them separate and store them in a safe in your cabin. Some people on cleaning crews like to rummage through people's luggage for valuables. Most don't do that sort of thing but there's always the few who do.

I would recommending this site, I use it all the time for travel, babysitting and so forth! Enjoy!
