I need help with my honeymoon!? |
So, I want to go to Tahiti because of the clear, calm waters but there's no way we can afford it. So, I've made a list of other possibilities, Aruba, Bermuda, Barbados, Turks & Caicos, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. I just can't narrow it down even though I've looked at countless pictures and websites. I want to go to an island where the water is crystal clear and calm, and there is enough nightlife and day activities. If anyone has any personal experiences with any of the islands or any new ideas I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want to drop a few grand and be disappointed. It's hard to get a good idea from just looking at pics. No Jamaica, Mexico, or Hawaii! Additional Details My honeymoon will be in November |

Out of all, I'd go with Barbados. This beautiful island has all what you're looking for. Since hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, it's basically out of the belt.
Nightlife can be seen in St. Lawrence Gap as well as among Bay Street. There's Club Xtreme on Main Street in Hastings.
St. Lawrence Gap:
Has various of clubs such as The Ship Inn, The Reggae Lounge to name a few that you can choose from as well as restaurants/bars. There are also hotels, convience store and Internet cafe. It's also close to the water!

Bay Street:
Harbour Lights and The Boatyard are two of them I mention among this street.

About activities, it depends on what you're interested in ranging from beach(es) to sightseeing to duty-free shopping to water ones to dining to tours/excursions.
There are hotels/resorts that you can choose from to fit your budget and your taste. Coconut Court Beach Hotel, Amaryllis Beach Resort, Bayfield House and South Beach Resort & Vacation Club are just to name a few. You could get an all-inclusive if you want.
You can find out more information below about this wonderful country:

You can also check out reviews if you want to know which suits you on TripAdvisor:

If you choose Barbados, you will not be disappointed but wherever you choose to go, I wish for you to have the blast of your time on your honeymoon. |

I would vote for Aruba. Weather will be nice, area is safe (despite what some people say) lots of water sports and nightlife, nice beaches, calm water, warm and clear, also, rarely rains, good restaurants, friendly. Just be aware that Aruba has tradewinds, but they save you from being burnt to a crisp. |

Out of your choices I would go with the Bahamas. The water is gorgeous, just be sure to get an all-inclusive hotel. They have a TON of water sports that are free, and plenty of tours and excursions that are not free. Also there are typically plenty of nightly shows and clubs to explore, which are always a blast.
The Virgin Islands are really nice too, but it's more of a hot spot for teenagers (so I don't know if that's something you would like). |

Cuba. Cayo Coco.
I been there and they have one of the nicest beaches. Clear calm can walk out for miles and it is very shallow!
Also i heard that in Cuba Varadero The Club Amigo Varadero Resort (now named Aguas something?? google it :D ) , has one of the nicest beaches. Read reviews and everyone who has been to barbados, aruba, etc. said this resort has the nicest beach ever! Clear clam blue water! |
