You will get used to it. You can only learn by interaction. Also if you can come spend time with Jamaicans in Jamaica where they will probably speak mostly patois so then you will be forced to listen and learn.
TRANSLATE: - Yuh soon get use to it man. Di ongle way yuh a go learn a if yuh deh round people who a chat it. If you can come a yaad that woulda good fi yuh cause yuh woulda hear di people dem a chat it say in and day out. Yuh woulda haffi listen and learn fi chat it to. |

Just be yourself! That is always the best way to go. You'll understand everything that is said and people will understand what you are saying as well. Besides, you probably already speak a lot more patios that you think :) |

the only way to learn will be thru ya family.im a white lady who has grown by a jamaican and i understand it very well so u mus can start to say little words at first.im quite suprised u cant with all ya family chatting it around u.but dont worry to much cus jamaicans can still understan the english accent.i jus fin u have to speak slower.hope this helped u.....pinkssss |

Good luck! It takes a LOT of time, effort and exposure to get a language down. I wouldn't hope for too much by Christmas but I'm sure you could get some basic conversation skills down. |

Wtf u cant learn to speak jamaican .In fact that is one of my biggest pet peeves ppl wanting to speak patois u try to tlk likus and sound stupid and ppl laugh at u .Just try to analyze wat they r saying coz trying to speak lik them will onli make u a poppy show |
