People People. Don't jump the gun just yet.

It sounds like what you received is a promotion sponsored by Ramada.

In exchange for you visiting their resort, they will give you a free hotel stay and a free cruise.

Of course you will have to do a timeshare tour. This does not mean its a scam! Scams are when someone purposely takes your money without any intent on providing a service/product.

Regarding the hotel. I am not sure what resort they want you to tour. They typically have you stay at the same resort you will be touring. Which means the resort has to be half decent, from a business stand point right? They are not going to have you stay in a hole in the wall, and then ask you to spend thousands to get coming back.

Also included in the promotion is a cruise. The cruise is probably on the Bahamas Celebration. Previously the ship that was used for this promotion was Regal Empress. The ship was old and its GONE!

The Bahamas Celebration is a cruise ship run by Celebration Cruise Line.

Now, nothing is free. You do have to pay small fees like taxes and tips for the cruise and hotel stay. However, its a great deal if you go with an open mind and don't expect the Ritz Hotel and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. I would suggest looking into it!

Continue to do your own research like you have been doing; and make your own decision.

It is a scam. At the best, it is designed to get you to buy time-shares (you will have to sit through a 4 hour long speech during which you are pressured - extremely - to buy). At the worst, it is just a "Steal your money and identity" scam.

Nothing is ever free. You will have to pay for boarding pass, you will also probably have to take a tour of one of their resorts, etc.

It's a scam.. the cruise companies do this all the time.. if you REALLY want to take a cruise.. then BOOK ONE from the cruise ship company of your choice... it will end up being CHEAPER than what you will pay for your FREE trip.

Nothing is free...You have to fly down to FL...$$$ Stay at their hotel$$$$$ cruise 8 hrs to the Bahamas and stay at their hotel. it will cost you about $3000 when you finish....Don't believe the hype!!!

I called and the amount you end up paying is $798. But you have to pay it right then. You can schedule anytime in the next 18 months and you get 2 more vacations with that one.

I just received about the 10th phone message from them at 1(800)901-2932. They left the phone number of 800-519-7502 or 877-682-2351 to add your number to a do-not-call list. I spoke with them before and they said the purpose is that they are a new cruise line and are trying to get people to rate their cruises for future business. They didn't say I had to fly to Fort Lauderdale or anything about a hotel, but they DID want a $29 port-of-call fee per person and said the tickets are good for a year. The person I spoke with said she had never been on a cruise before, which I thought was odd since she worked for a cruise line.

I was planning a cruise to Europe, so I was willing to hear what they had to say. The catch was that they wanted my credit/debit card number and I NEVER give that out without written documentation. They said they couldn't do that, so I said "nevermind" and eventually had to hang up on them. I asked how large the crew was, when the ship was built, time of embarkation and return. As far as I recall, they would not provide any of that.

The number from which they call is an outgoing number only, and they can't call you back once you've spoken with a representative (another good clue that it's a scam). Even if they just took the $29 and not my identity, it could have been a rip-off. The rep was at least able to give me their website (all I could find now that it's been a while is: http://www.travelbydeals.com/blog/news/bahamas-celebration-review" that I also had to see before committing to something like this. This site had one comment that said "you may have to listen to a speech about timeshare..."

The last call I received from them was 10 minutes ago.

This article says you pay $89 plus port fees, or something similar. There is also a rated comment from "Angel of Mercy Church" which also seems to be a scam site. How can this company continue trying to sell the cruises?

Camila
This sounds like a timeshare scam! don't do it or you'll end up spending one whole day of ur vacation in a room full of salespeople trying to sell you one, and before u know it u are out of the place with another bill in your pocket..... just ignore it =)

Shontel H
Hey, I just got a free cruise from them in the mail as well.
