I recommend Belize because of the magnificent barrier reef, food is pure (no additives or preservatives), clean water, ocean is 80 year round AND they speak English.

It's the least-expensive and the only English-speaking country in the Caribbean.

For tour guide, I recommend Matthew Coye who is a master diver, medic, knows almost everyone in the tourism industry and - most important - he is honest!

He has family all over the country incluing a brother who has a jungle retreat with baby macaw parrots and the very rare black jaguar.

His email: matthewcoye@yahoo.com

paradise awaits!

Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad and barbados are the best islands to visit for great beaches and nightlife. However, For the real club scene and down to earth dancing, Jamaica is the Ideal place to visit.

Negril, Jamaica, ( 1.0 hr south of Montego Bay)Yoga Center has private cabins, great breakfast (Spanish omelet with orange juice and toast for under $2.00) delivered to your room or served in the courtyard. Night guards on site, feels very safe. The Yoga Center abuts the Great Morass and is closer to other interesting sites in cities close to Negril. Make sure you include a day trip to YS Falls (you won't be sorry), but plan to spend appx $100.00 for the round trip cab ride provided by the Yoga Center staff. On the way back stop by the Peter Tosh memorial. You'll have a GREAT time! Ari (no problem)

The caribbean is not a big "dance club" place...it is more fun little bars...where you can get your dance on. But not like spring break in Cancun! i love Little Cayman, Green Turtle Cay...Atlantis at Paradise Island Bahamas will definitely have what you're looking for-dance clubs, casinos, beach bars, dance reggae by the beach underthe sun all day...rage all night! Or for full-on fun and outrageous partying: Jamaica mon!

That is a question that is hard to answer - just because there are so many choices.

Do yourself a big favor and consult a travel agency that specializes in Caribbean travel. A good agent will be able to match you with a great experience for you at a good price.

Negril is the kick back party side of Jamaica. Also, Ocho Rios has quite the club scene from what I understand, although I personally haven't experienced Ocho Rios.

I have been traveling down the chain of islands in the Caribbean for a year. I have not encountered an island where they don't speak English. Barbados is nice and has a good night life, St Martin has beautiful beaches and many places to go dancing. Then of course you have Aruba, which is very Americanized so if you are looking for a cultural experience I would not recommend it.
Most of the islands have night life, but not like you are used to in the states. It is more local bars that play dance music and yes it is a lot of fun. My opinion would be to not look for a place that has things that you can do at home, but somewhere that you can see and experience the culture of the people.
Good luck and have fun.
