Theres quite a vibrant building industry there now as a lot of foreigners including brits are buying property so i guess you could probably get site management job depending on your experience. if not, how's your dancing?

The Dominican is definitely revolved around tourism- and a lot of development has been focused on tourism. I guarantee that it would be easy to find a job in construction, management, etc. There are many resorts and many jobs you can pursue. I've also heard that it's really easy to set up your own shops. Hope that helped. :)

Well first of all...why would you want to move to a third world country? I am from there I love it there for vacation but to live it's not the best place right now...but it's your choice...you should open up a small business maybe a store of some kind...and you should live in Santo Domingo...it seems like everywhere else it's a dump and or it's very dangerous to live in...its a beautiful place for vacationing good luck with living there

If you can live on $5.00 a day go for it. The Government set minimun wage between $80.00 and about $140.00 a month. I know people there that work for less than that. Unemployment rate is very high.

Work at a resort - the only other option is to be a self-sustained farmer like everyone else, but then you have to worry about people stealing your crops.
