Jaylen's mom |
I want to travel to some island in the? |
caribbean but i'm having trouble picking a spot. My parents are from Haiti (been there but husband's never been), my husband's mom is from Jamaica (he's been there not me). My dad has been to Santo Domingo and said it was beautiful, but i want to go somewhere with my husband and just relax.
I was thinking St. John, Barts, Thomas, Kitts, or somewhere in the far east caribbean. I don't mind the western but i wanted more quietness.
Oh and can it be real cheap too? Cruises are okay as well.
Thank you guys. |

Well first off I can tell you that if you want real cheap like you said then unfortunately your choices will be limited to Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or a 3 night Cruise to the Bahamas.
Outside of that places like St. Barts cannot be said in the same sentence as the word cheap, it just doesn't exist there.
For something "affordable" but NOT real cheap would be, Barbados, St. Lucia and perhaps Antigua.
Also keep in mind that hotel prices change based on the season, so the price will all depend on the time of year that you are travelling......... |

A cruise is a great way to see many places! You can get some good deals for the caribbean. Then you can decide which you like best and go there next time. I think that Bonaire is a great island and one that is not very touristy...it's like a secret! It is so beautiful, great for scuba and there are more flaminogs than people on the island!! I have been to a large majority of the islands and this is one of my favs! I also LOVE Aruba!
Have fun!! |

As you can't make up your minds, try a cruise. There's a big selection here. http://www.vacationstogo.com/ticker.cfm?t=y MSC Cruises does a good Eastern Caribbean cruise. |

I have some ideas , some arent in caribbean though ,
ST LUCIA its lovely there.
And from my past
the most enjoyable holiday ive ever been to was
THE MALDIVES.
i went to 'Meedahurruparu'.
But royal island , fishermans island and sun island have been said to be nice too.
I loved it , and to see what its like just search it into google images or youtube.
I went diving there and it was amazing , the views , the people , the fact that hardly any kids are there !
I loved the quietness.
It has everything essential to a relaxing holiday !

how about Belize? the flights are pretty cheap. I am from San Diego, and the round trip is only $260 with american airlines. If you can manage to go before the December 20th you can score some major discounts on lodging as well... |

I would go to the island of Anguilla, Its gorgeous there and they have amazing beaches. I have never seen such clear turquoise beautiful waters ( no seaweed) and such soft white sand. This island is not full of tourist and you could easily find a spot on the beach to have some peace and quiet and enjoy a romantic time with your husband. Although they are many gourmet restaurants there it could easily rack up your bill but if you stick to the smaller beach shacks this could be a very cheap trip. I would suggest staying at serenity cottages, or Ku Hotel this hotel is on the best beach and is fairly priced. Please go to Anguilla you will have an amazing romantic time. I have been to Jamaica and I loved the lush green background they have but to tell you the truth I was not at all impressed by the beaches. |
