If South African citizens visit Cuba, does this mean they are unable to visit America ever again?

I've heard that if a South African citizen travels to Cuba and has there passport stamped, that they are not allowed to ever travel to America. Is there any truth to this?

No, they have not broken any law. Many people from all over the world visit Cuba, then the U.S. I have never understood WHY anyone would want to go to a country for vacation that is ruled by a dictator, a country whose own citizens are prevented from traveling..., but they are allowed to. Whether or not you can Travel to the u.S. depends solely on whether or not you are from a visa waiver country or can get a tourist visa.

As they say, Cuba does not stamp tourist's passports.

I am British, and have a lot of Cuban visas in my passport. I travel regularly to the US, and never have any problems.

Means nothing... Cuba has normal relations with every other country in the Americans except the United States.

No the US has NO jurisdiction over your travels as you are not residing in the USA. I myself go to Cuba and travel to the US without any problems because they have no say as to where I can go.

In fact, Cuba doesn't stamp passport unless you want them to. But even if they did, it still will have no bearing on whether you can enter the US or not...you still can and will.

Travel freely and enjoy yourself without any worries.

Riki
Not to worry Cuba does not stamp passports. if you are nervous about it ask the immigration official not to do so. I'm Canadian and visit Cuba once or twice per year and also visit relatives in the U. S. two or three times every year and have done so for years. The only time my passport was stamped was when I asked immigration to do so as a souvenir.
