If you were to chose a good family Caribbean hotel or island, which one?
Not hotter than 85 degrees!!! Bahamas--Hotels? Caymans--Hotels? Antigua? USVI? BVI? Any others?
My choice would be the Westin in St John (USVirgin Islands)
But better still rent a house with a pool. Many villas in St John.
This site can help you. www.vrbo.com
This would be much cheaper because you would have all the comforts of home but be on a caribbean island. St John is famous for it's beaches. Plus you are close to the BVI and St Thomas. 3 islands for the price of 1.
Staying in a house is much more economical. You can save some bucks on breakfast and lunch. Eat dinner out.
Good Luck have fun researching and have a great vacation.

I would recommend any Beaches resort (Turks & Caicos is supposed to be the best) or The Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Both are very kid-friendly - plenty of activities for everyone. Beaches is all inclusive, The Atlantis is not. Check out their websites....

Barbados, but since I never have been in a hotel on any Caribbean islands, I can't say, but I really, really love Barbados as it's my favourite island.

I just saw a special on the best Caribbean trips for family on the travel channel.. The number one resort was "Atlantis" in the Bahamas. (Nassau, I think?) I've never been there, but it looked incredible.
I liked Grand Cayman the best with my girls. We went swimming with the stingrays and to a dolphin park.. and to "Hell". They enjoyed it, and it was clean and the people were friendly.
