Highly Favoured
This has other information as well that you will need.
As you will be using the pool and the beaches you will need your swim wear. You might want to bring more than one pair if you plan to swim daily. You will also need some sunblock to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Light clothing for the day is needed as well as nice clothes for the dining room. You need something special for the formal night with nice shoes to go with it. You do not need a towel, shampoo nor soap as these will be provided.
camera, batteries, charger
cell (if you need one and charger)
makeup
undies and sanitary napkins
soft-wear/sandals for walking during the day
running gear if you run on mornings around the ship's deck
shades and glasses if you wear
Things for your hair (bands etc)

You do not have to pay for any meals unless you choose a specialty restaurant (Steak House on Princess). The only free juice is at breakfast. I know there was a free ice cream station but there also might be a paying one. If you choose wine for dinner or order any other drinks or sodas you have to pay for them. They do not use cash on board but a ship pass. They will swipe your credit card and this will be linked to your ship pass. You ship pass is what you will need to buy things on board or for seating in the restaurant. It is also used for entry and exit from the ship and to enter the port after leaving the island.

The only money you will need is for shopping on the islands so depending on what you want to buy you can estimate. The ship's excursions are very expensive but you can go and bargain with the taxi driver for a better fee. You can bargain for this, maybe $25 per person sharing in the taxi. Bear in mind that it might be more.

There are many restaurants and you can choose either of two sittings. It is 6:30 or 8:30 pm. There are also two shows nightly which will be 8:30 and 10:30. On Princess has 'anytime dining'.

Pack casual clothes plus at least one dressier outfit. Pack at least 2 swim suits. Pack at least 2 extra pair of underwear and 1 extra pair of socks. (Females, even if you aren't expecting your period pack sanitary items anyway just in case) All perscription meds, normal over the counter stuff you take, pack sea sickness pills and ginger chews. Sunscreen, body lotion, lip balm, cosmetics, normal toiletries, nail clippers. A good book or two, hand held game system or other personal entertainment. Ear plugs if noise is an issue to a good night's sleep.

Don't worry about snacks...food is always available on the ship...unless you want healthier options.

Look at the website for the cruise line you are using and see what they do not allow on board.

Make sure to leave work and worries at home. Take your sense of adventure and commit to trying at least 1 new thing on your trip.

Bring a book or magazine, 2 swimsuits(if possible), 1-2 Dress up outfits(for formal nights). Pack a few extra socks and underthings as they may get wet or you may change more than once a day. Do not forget $$ you will need spending and almost everywhere is a $2-$5 taxi if your not on an excursion. If you are leaving someone important at home it might be a good idea to get a decent calling card. A hat of some sort is necessary sunglasses are recommended and make sure you bring sunblock and aloe lotion. At least one person in your party NEEDS a watch I can't stress that enough. Cruises are the best so have fun.

Nice...I just got back from our honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas a month ago. Let me tell you one important thing...don't take a whole lot of clothes. I packed a huge suitcase with two outfits for each day (one for morning and one for night). I didn't use all of the clothes so I could have used the room for something else. If you have to fly to get there, make sure you take small bottles of shampoo, hair spray, etc because the airlines won't let you take on more than 3oz I think. Oh yeah, bring plenty of money because the cruise line will get 15% gratuity of EACH purchase you make. Have fun!!!

plenty of money, they put a gratuity payment on your account before you even board but your can ask for this to be removed (u have to stand in a large que) i prefer to tip when i get service but each to ther own i guess, they have a laundry on most liners so little is best as u can easily wash your clothes, enjoy your cruise xx
