You can use Cayo Piedras. It is fidel's personal vacation place

As joydvision said, you can go visit fidel. Acording to many people here that claim to be from canada, that is a must see for canadians.

I never thought that canadians were comunists fans of fidel. I am very surprised. Oh well, there is people for anything

Same as nazis in many places

TripCentral is a great travel site as well as Bel Air Travel on top of the sites you mentioned and Riki's. My suggestion is to shop around online, see which packages interest you and then call in person to book. If done online, you won't be able to make adjustments or changes to your package...or even request a matched or lower rate. Most companies will honor that.

I enjoy Tryp Cayo Coco. It's a great resort, great people (but you find that all throughout Cuba) and gorgeous beaches. Cayo Coco resorts are only a 15 minute drive from the airport and is about 45 minutes away from the main city. To Havana, it's about a 40 minute flight and trips are offered through your tour group at the hotel.

One big tip is be sure to have an amazing time in Cuba! Because you will...and you will make great Cuban friends for life.

Feel free to email me if you like.

The main resort areas are Varadero - a sandy peninsula with hotels along it, Cayo Coco - an offshore island with hotels and mangrove swamps, Guardalavaca.

Have a look on Tripadvisor or Debbie's reviews to get more of an idea.

Cuba is very definitely a great place to vacation. The beaches are terrific, the scenery fantastic, there's no shortage of activities to keep you going day and night. Cubans are proud of their country; they welcome visitors with open arms and will treat you like visiting royalty. Chances are if you go once you will return again and again. Check the sites below they contain tons of information. For a first visit, my suggestion would be Oasis brisas del Caribe, Varadero, great beach, good food, active animacion staff and close to Havana, a "must see."You are in for a real treat. Havana is definitely a "must see, You can easily arrange that tour and others that may interest you. Your destination rep will be selling them. There are markets in Varadero where you can buy inexpensive souvenirs at a better price than the resort shops. The food at your resort will be varied offering some typical Cuban food but lots of choice as far as Canadian or European tastes go. Check the sites below for lots more info. Please remember to take gifts for our Cuban friends who have had such a difficult year because of the hurricanes. You are in for a great time. Check a few online travel sites prices can vary. I've used the ones below with good results.
