Are you bringing children with you? I always liked using bookit.com for the best prices.

Half Moon-MoBay ($$$)
Coyaba-MoBay ($$)
Rose Hall-MoBay ($$)
Jamaica Inn-Ochi ($$$)
Royal Plantation-Ochi ($$$)
Sunset Jamaica Grande-Ochi ($$)

There are many other resorts that can fit your budget. I do advise since Christmas is a busy time for them you book as soon as possible.

We are going to JA for Christmas also! We stay on the South coast, Treasure Beach area. If you want to stay in Ochi, we have stayed at Sunset Jamaica Grande. It is right downtown so it is close to everything. It was nice and cheap compared to other resorts. Try apple vacations. Also, check out tripadvisor.com. jamaica forum. There are alot of helpful people there with lots of knowledge.

Sunset Resort and Spa in Montego Bay ! It's awesome ! It's near the airport and they drive you back to the airport when its' your date to leave in a bus. Alot of activites to do and food is unlimited , all you can eat. There is karakoe night, 2 swimming pools..etc and much more ! I couldn't write it if I could it's just too much.

If you are just looking for somewhere clean and decent to sleep, I'd recommend Toby Inn, Glorianna, or The Wexford Hotel in Montego Bay. They are nice, conveniently located and inexpensive.

Go to www.ytbtravel.com/coolrunningstravelja, you'll see a lot of reasonably priced hotels and the cost gets better if you book your flight and hotel at the same time.

Ochi has some good deals too like Turtle Towers, but you'll pay more for transportation to and from the airport.

Ultimately, it depends on what you want to do while you're in Jamaica.

You are mad lucky. I go to Jamaica every year for Christmas but this year I cant afford the airfare so I am going to Phoenix, AZ instead.

Try the Hibiscus Lodge Hotel in Ocho Rios, I go there every year. It is very nice.

me too!! I leave on the 17 th..can't wait to go back this time we will go to negril ...we stay with friends so saving a bunch of money will be easier.......but also looking for rustic guest houses yes!!
