While Puerto Ricans do have issues to deal with regarding the island's economy, I am quite sure a migration to the Dominican Republic will never happen. Puerto Rican's are American Citizens and will choose the best option for them in the United States, not a country that is still well behind the standards set by prosperous nations. However, I am confident that some Puerto Ricans will be happy to continue conducting lucrative business with the Dominicans. See reference for details: |

Well Puerto Ricans are well received in Dominican Republic. But Dominican Republic is right wing society with a centralist view on social programs and as long as people going there don't try to influence an amendment on the constitution to make abortion legal, promote homosexuality or promote communism, Dominicans wouldn't have a problem.
Homosexual are not welcome in dominican republic, and what we got we don't want. We don't need more. |
