Induced lucid dreaming in trinidad culture?
ok.. wierd question.. Im pretty good at inducing lucid dreams through relaxation techniques.. my sister works with someone from trinadad and told him.. She said he got really nervous and his eyes bulged and told her to tell me to stop at once that it was dangerous.. she said he told her that if you get to good at it you will go so deep to a place you cannot come back from or you will see something so terrible it will drive you crazy.. according to my sister he was totally serious. he said he actually new people that went crazy from it and that he new exactly what she was talking about (most people don't) is there something in tinidad culture regarding lucid dreaming. anyone from there know.. Additional Details my sis says she has worked with this guy for 10 years and he is totally normal.. they talk everyday, have lunch together and he never acted like that before. he was visibally shaken
1. Most Trini's have no clue what you are speaking of.
2. Some of the Trinis on here do know what Lucid dreams are.
3. Being that most don't know what you are speaking of, there is nothing in our culture that has anything for or against it.
4. It is human nature to be skeptical to anyone messing around with your head - don't you think?
5. The guy may have pre-conceived notions about lucid dreams (founded or unfounded) that has nothing to do with his Trinidadian heritage.

I was born and raised in Trinidad. I have never heard of anything like this and neither have any of the Trinis I have asked. It is not a part of our culture.

As far as I know, there is nothing in the culture that recognizes this. I don't think that man's commentary had anything to do with being Trini, but more to do with being crazy.
