I recently returned from my honeymoon in Aruba. It was amazing and definitely worth the money. We stayed at the Renaissance Marina, which was downtown, for 9 days/8 nights. I booked the flight and hotel w/ Orbitz.com. They had a promotion going on w/ a company called Great Fun at the time. Just for trying it (which I cancelled), they gave you a 20% rebate on your trip. It ending up costing us around $2000 after the $500 rebate check I got in the mail. Eating out every night can definitely get expensive. However, the other Renaissance hotel, Renaissance Ocean Suites, had a kitchenette w/ a fridge, etc. The food at the supermarkets was very reasonable. We are definitely going back soon, and that is our plan to keep the cost down a little bit. There were also some American conveniences like Dunkin Donuts and Sbarro, which were a good way to keep breakfasts and lunches reasonable inexpensive. Also, I would NOT go for the all-inclusive packages. There are SOOOO many awesome restaurants on the island that getting one of those packages really limits where you can go out to eat. Unless you are only planning on eating at your hotel 24/7 and being hammer drunk the whole time. Then it may be worth it. Congrats on the wedding!!! |

but it doesn't have to be...try La Cabana, all inclusive... not posh but definitely fun, and less expensive than some.
Holiday Inn is a medium cost all inclusive/
The best & most beautiful is Hyatt.
