Is Aruba more expensive than Cancun as far as daily vacation expenses are concerned? i.e eating out, buses etc?
we need to decide between cancun and aruba. air tickets and hotel fares have already been covered, we need to know where are day to day expenses cheaper... thanks!
We didn't see any real difference in prices between the two destinations. Choosing between them is more about what you want to do while you are there versus how much it will cost.
Aruba is more quiet and has less shopping and fewer major excursions. It's the place where you want to go for a relaxing vacation with a lot of time on the beach.
Aruba has great beaches and Cancun has bad ones (thanks to hurricanes). So that's a factor as well.

Cancun is far less expensive than Aruba. Cancun tends to draw the "college crowd" particularly around spring break. Aruba is a more "mature" crowd.
