Aruba is worth a visit. Arubans are among some of the nicest folks you will meet. Before you move to the island, would you be happy without access to shopping malls, US healthcare and all the other close amenities you likely live with now? How will you support yourself? Will your salary be able to cover your living expenses? Once you have all that settled, check out the following links...

It is definitely worth a visit. People there are called Arubian and they speak Papiamento. Beautiful beaches and very safe

I went on my honeymoon and wouldnt go back. It was a great place to visit once. Ive known many people who love it though. Most of the island is desert and the outskirts is beach. Its kind of a weird place...beautiful but weird.

dadx2
RJK has it correct.... they mostly save the jobs there for their own island people, however , there are a lot working there from jamacia and colombia, the mostly give their jobs, and there are many of them to the dutch people, my son wanted to go there for an engineering job but was told he needed to have a dutch passport to even be considered, if i hear one more time about it not being safe there i think i will puke, the peeps that say that are probably those who never even have been there, if you contact me i can help you with whatever info you need

Don't boycott that island like others have suggested. I have been there and found it very safe and relaxing. The Arubian people should not be all held responsible for the terrible Natallee Holloway tragedy. I had a blast there, the resort was great, food was awesome and it is just a beautiful place to be.

If you want to get kidnapped and raped it's a great place. Boycott Aruba until Natalee is found!

Yes, it has great beaches and decent waters, capability to scuba the largest ship wreck in the Caribbean, decent dinning, gambling, night clubs, deep sea fishing, and topless sun bathing. People are kind (always a few bad apples). Though now where is 100% safe it is one of the more safer islands south of the boarder.
