No in terms of its location geographically, its not considered and island ( of the Caribbean),as it is located on the South American continent.
But Yes,if your talking about history, people and a culture and put in the current day happenings in terms of sharing more resources natural and man made,in CARICOM,yes.
It is considered a part of the British Wset Indies and to a wider extent the Caribbean, nations.
As it is the only caribbean country on the south American continent that speaks english, officially.

As most people said, it's yes and no. Yes Guyana is a "caricom" country and is considered to be part of the Caribbean. However, Guyana is not an island. It's one of the northern most countries located in South America.

Geographically no but for more than one reasons they are apart region and even apart of CARICOM and other bodies.

Guyana is considered to be part of the Caribbean though it is not part of the West Indies. The West Indies are the islands and Guyana is a part of the South American mainland.
