Is it always windy in the bahamas?

I just came back from a cruise from the bahamas and it was really windy. 30+winds and 11 ft swells. What month is the best time to go to the bahamas?

Ive been there in summer twice or three times. It was never windy there, you may have just had a weird day or week.

The weather is always nice in the Bahamas. Sometimes, however when cool temperatures come our way it bring wind, choppy seas, and even rain but not severe. We love this opportunity which God Has Given us to live in a Country where the weather is comfortable.Even the hurricanes "dance"over the shallow waters and head out to sea.

The best time is probably March or April. After that it gets hotter.

The weather is almost always nice in the Bahamas. It has its windy days as well as its rainy days. The spring is usually windy and perhaps rainy.

Not really! Well if you go to the Bahamas between probably October to around mid February or March it will be chilly and windy. Summer months are the best to go... July, June and August for good sun. It is around 89-95 Fahrenheit then! Perfect weather for swimming too.

April and May are good if you are okay with rain but still like the sun.. then it is in the 80's. Go with July for your best sunny month.
