Is it an accepted fact that a Trini man must have or at one point had an outside woman?

I think that BECAUSE so many men have had outside women that young men growing up don't CONSIDER the possibility of having a relationship with only one woman. Think about it, most role models for young men have 2 and 3 women outside of dey "family". Even preachers (who SHOULD be the ultimate role models) have rumours going round about what woman they sleeping with or having "private meetings" with. Personally, I think it takes a REAL man to overcome that nonsense and stick to ONE relationship - throught thick, thin and temptation .

My great grandfather had 13 chirren wit 5 diffrent women. Is not now dat goin on. That is like food to some men, that is why the virus mashin up the place down here right now.

I don't think its an "accepted" fact because that suggests that it is "acceptable" but for any woman to think it is not a REAL possibility would be very naive.

Come een closer, is a secret. I could share meh dotishness wit allyuh cause allyuh is meh posse, but when I first created my avatar I didn't even notice the color bars at the side of the heads so I had brown hair by default. My hair is black so yesterday I decided to go find myself some. And I figure after a year and a half is time tuh change meh clothes, yuh eh feel? :-)

My grandfather had 32 children. My grandmother had 6. My mother had a sister that lived on either side of her in the housing tenament, each born within a year of her. She had several siblings in her school that didn't live in her house.
All I know is that I running from any man who name Jordan in San Fernando!!!

doh get me wrong..de women and dem does do it...unfortunately..i doh understand why people can't be satisfied wit one..is yours and yours alone..tink about it..

But i real selfish..what is mine is mine...Hotta right..i have some family in Brooklyn dey, let dem hear some man horning me..they only need to smell de babash to warm up and dey gone crazy. My family loyal to each other too bad..and i know is what they've been told from small..respect each other, don't go straying..keep de family together. the heartache ain't worth it.

is not an accepted fact: i dont accept it...i does tell my man straight out - it have mad people in my family, and i selfish, i REALLLY dont like to share what is mine. if i even hear ah rumour that yuh have another ooman, welll......

any hows, TS is not only men does do dat, i have ah great aunt (meh grandfather sis) who have 13 children.....with 12 men.

So yes is long time this happening, but dat dont mean that we have to accept or pass on the tradition.

But I think its depends on the values we've been thought

Ah sure you know de calypso, "Deputy Essential". lol. I know many Trini men who have children all over de place by various women. My mother has a friend who has a grand total of 9 children by 5 different mothers. The ironic thing is that his wife was a midwife and she delivered those 'extra' kids. You know how they refer to de horner woman?? They refer to them as "help". It sounds very callous, doesn't it? But believe you me, I've heard more than one man say that on more than one occasion. lol. And ay ay....de woman an' dem does do it too.

But ah go tell you something....if I ever had a man who did that to me ah go knock him down!
