It's a New Day

Is it bizocho or bizcocho in Puerto Rico for the word cake?

I'm not sure if these are just typos, or if they say "bizocho" instead of "bizcocho" for cake

It is "bizcocho" with "z" and a "c" before the first "o". We are not the only country that use "bizcocho" for cake.

Other spanish speaking countries use words like "torta", "tarta" or "pastel" for the word cake.

In Mexico "torta" is a type of sandwich.

biscocho
we dont write this word with a "z".

for mexico is : torta
for panama and other countries is: dulce
and for some other latin countries is : pastel

for puerto ricans pasteles is a traditional dish (known kind of like tamales but with different ingredients) nothing to do with cake.
