Of course. Somebody here that claims to be from canada told us that fidel and a certain pierrot trudeau, that seems to be an important guy in canada were very close friends

College girl
2 boxes are legal. keep in mind that sometimes cuba doesnt let you take out of the country the cigars that you buy in the streets. in other words, they must be legit and you must get them from the fidel gang brotherhood stores. So keep ur receipts. and if ur buying fakos, make sure u dont declare them upon leaving the cuban airport

peace out
cheers

Yep. My parents did that :)

Yes, they're legal in Canada. Not legal in the US, though, so don't think about taking them across the border, or selling them online.

TropicSon
Yes, legal for Canada.. Not legal in the USA.

yup! once you of tha age of 18!

pepsi
Of course. You can buy them here. You can bring up to 50 cigars for personal use duty free.

tyler
Yeah. The only reason it is legal in the USA because Cuba and the Americans don't get along. Cuban cigars are the best.

Kate J
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing Yes, since I'm pretty sure there are no restrictions between Canada and Cuba.

According to Canadian law, you can import up to 50 cigars tax free from abroad. If you tried to attempted to bring anything in excess of 50, you would be charged tax on it and perhaps asked questions about why you need more than 50 cigars. Law allows you to bring up to 50 cigars with you so if you’re within this limit, no questions will be asked.

Great thing is, that according to Cuban law, foreigners are allowed to export up to 50 cigars with them from the country. It’s exactly the same as Canadian allowance on import so it works out perfect. I do it all the time and never had any issue.

Also remember, that anyone in your party over the age of 18 is allowed to bring 50 cigars to Canada. So if you’re going with somebody, you can give them a couple of boxes (there are 25 cigars in a box) to carry them in for you and you’ll end up with excess of 50 cigars. If you know cigars smokes in your area, you’ll be able to easily make up the cost of your trip to Cuba, as box of Cohiba Robustos will cost you about $70 in Cuba (if you know where to buy) where as a single Cohiba cigar in Canada costs $29.95.

Yes - why shouldn't it be ?

You can probably only take one or two boxes duty free though.
