October will still be hurricane season it will last up until January but you maybe lucky its a chance that you take good luck

alpha32blue
Frankly, I have never heard of any tourists complaining about being hit by a hurricane... I wouldn't worry.

Why don't you just check the Weather Channel, which I believe is channel 62? They reeeaaally know what they're talkin' about. =P

I believe it goes thru Oct 31. Florida is you best bet for a quicker evacuation.

well i live in florida and maybe u should wait a month after because one time we had a huge hurricane last year in november. It's a tropical storm in the atlantic right now thats supposed to be hitting the tip of south fl but that shouldn't be nothing to worry about. U could try your luck, b/c i don't think a hurricane is coming this year.

October is the tail end of the hurricane season and yes it is okay to vacation at that time but if you are worried about Hurricanes ruining your vacation the check with your local agent and ask them about vacation insurance.

jthomp58
Yes, it is still Hurricane season, and it is a risk, but it's also when you get the best rates on air/hotel, etc..

billnj1444
Yes it is hurricane season but September and August are the peak. Additionally you can purchase trip insurance. Once you do that then just check the National Hurricane Center before you leave and it will show any storms and the 5 day potential track. That way you can make a reasonable decision if you are heading into harms way.
