Lots of parents take their kids to Jamaica. Some resorts even specialize in making the vacation special for kids and have staff dedicated to it. Relax about your kids in Jamaica. They will have a wonderful time.

Of course, it is safe to take them. They will enjoy this trip.I have been taking my two boys for three years now and they love it.

Is she staying at a resort? If so yes, it's very safe. Remember it may need to be notarized.

I think they will love it. For a third world country the people are quite friendly. The counrty is loaded with all inclusive resorts so they are probably just staying somewhere so it should be great. Ya Mon! One thing is that drugs are easy to come by so I would make sure my 14 year old was responsible enough to stay away.

First off its pretty easy to get drugs anywhere in the world, the only drug that is grown in Jamaica is marijuana(ganja/weed/kiki) Yes it is very safe for tourist in Jamaica they are even treated better than the locals, furthermore u most likely are going to stay at a resort if u know nothing or no one in a country. There's nothing to fear, when the kids get back and tell u how great it was u will want to make it ur next vacation.

It's fine! I've taken my son three times and he loves it there! It's important for kids to see other parts of the world if they have the opportunity!

Sure. There are no cannibals in Jamaica. You should join them too.

It is safe. I took my daughter when she was 14 and 15. We stayed at a Family Resort and she loved it. On the resort, the Jamaican people looked out for her. I received a call when she was out on the beach alone from a friend I met while there. I did have to keep a closer eye on her outside the resort as she was blossoming. I made sure I introduced myself as her MOTHER to everyone....and we both received much Respect mon'

Yes it is very safe for your children to vacation here, there are many family orientated resorts your wife can bring them too such as Beaches, Pebbles and Starfish.

yaadigal22
of course it is...Jamaica has a lot of all-inclusive resorts, that are family-oriented and have many activities for kids. You might want to visit places like Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. I guarantee you'll have fun!

Yeah, its very safe.............i mean, of course u would have to take normal precaution, as you would in your home country, (don't take ride from strangers, u know etc), but other than that it is safe. They will love it, i have relatives that come from America every summer and Christmas, and they absolutely love it, the beaches, the food, most of all they love the informal structure f our society, we are very laid back, they feel free to dress how they wanna, etc.
