I´m from Belgium and I eat 3x day things washed with water from the tab. I just don´t drink the water from the tab. So everything else is not thrue. |

I am Dominican and I live in NY but i am currently here and i can assure you its okay just watch out for seafood and chicken make sure its well done but the water is okay |

Most reputable resorts (as do most middle class homes) have a private cistern where the water is purified, so ask at the resort. This cistern is where your tap water comes from. Most people get sick from either eating in places where the hygene is not the greatest, or just because your stomach is not used to the food. I am dominican and I used to get sick everytime I went to the US for vacation! Is the US tap water safe? Yes, but my tummy wasn't used to the greasy Southern cooking. |

BE CAREFUL! it shoudlb efine but when i visited everyone i knew got sick for at least 1/2 of a day to 2 days |

No, In DR no, try to not drink too much Pina Colada the ice and the water so bad, drink only coke and beer, about the food stay away from the vegetables, eat only cook meet and rice and pizza.. There is not too much options in the hotels because no A/C only in your room. |
