Professor Oglevee
Yes it is safe, a lot safer than using a debit card. Make sure before you leave for Jamaica inform your credit card company that you will be going to Jamaica. They will make note of it. But remember transactions make in Jamaica your credit card company will charge you a foreign transaction fee.

Yes it is safe to use your credit card in Jamaica.
when using your credit card in any foreign country its best to inform your bank that you will be where ever and will be using your card there, if there is a problem with that country then the bank will advise you.

goodperson@heart
yes it is safe to use your credit card and they won't overcharge you.

jalady
That depends on where you use it.

It is safe to use a credit card in Jamaica, but you can still shop around for the best bargain...as for charges sometimes that depends on the establishment.

Sheldon

My sister had fraudulent charges put on her credit card in Jamaica. It depends where you use it but I would avoid it if possible.
