Is it still storming, hurricanes in the Caribbean?

I want to take my husband to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Sandals Resort. I wanted to get an update of the weather currently. Is the hurricane season over?

September is the worst month of the season.

The Hurracaine Season ends in November (but I have seen storms in December too).

No, the hurricane season is with us until early November -- and last year there was even a tropical storm in early December, just when everyone thought it was all over. This is the link you need. Keep watching the progress of any weather systems. If you press on the marked area (the red balloon), it will provide you with a written weather forecast. As you see, the rain is moving north and Jamaica is not really affected. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

NO NOT YET BUT NOT AS BAD AS THE LAST 4 WEEKS

Actually, hurricane season doesn't end till November 30th.

We are traveling in November to the Caribbean and we feel safe doing this even thou the hurricane season is not over.

September is usually the worst month for tropical storms and tropical disturbances. October has had it's share of bad storms too.

If you can wait till November, you will have a better chance for good weather. If not, be sure to take out travel insurance that covers weather.

Have fun and good luck)

The Caribbean hurricane map below doesn't show anything forming in the Atlantic at this time. Jamaica has the most rainy days of the year in September and October, but they still total less than half of the month. It's a flip of the coin.

No, the hurricane season is from June to November but do not let that stop you from enjoying a beautiful island. Right now it is that season and the sun is shining brightly. It was also really hot yesterday. You might get a little rain sometimes but not a hurricane every day.

Just look up a weather forecast for Jamaica. its not that hard and its a lot faster than waiting for someone to respond.
