Dais a real hard question - I might get some flack for this, but older women, today's women, know what they want and with time running out on them (that fabled biological clock), they are going to take only just a tiny bit of chasing. The chase might be fun for you but there is a claim that there aren't many good guys out there anymore, so when they see you, trinisoccer, a wholesome handsome (yes?) triniman, coming and that you might be interested, they say "i better get he oui!!"

Well I would admit that as I have gotten older I've gotten bolder in my approach to men. I don't know if that is because I'm more confident or if its that life is short go after what you want thing or what. I don't really know. Like just last week it had a sweeeeeeeeet piece ah Trini niceness behind de ticket counter at de train station an doh feel ah wasn't seriously thinking about passing a note but, as the train was about tuh leave meh nuh, ah had tuh check meh priorities.....but I digress. Generally speaking, I still like the chase. I still like to be courted. ;-)

Jouvert
Trini women only get sweeter with time and as my grandmother says, you let man chase you 'til you ketch dem!

Lady B
According to one of my aunts, the bible says that a woman shouldn't go after a man. She quoted the verse but I think i was too busy rolling my eyes. Too bad or i woulda give it to yuh. LOL
I'm one of those "getting older" types and I can attest to what Izzy say - i'll let him chase a lil bit, but suppose he get tired and say "forget she!!" and then who lose out but me..steups.
Is a real hustle oui.

I'm not really sure nah...
I see some fellas does be bussing tackle behind me and I does tink 'but what de jail wrong wid dem'
The other day I ask one... "Boy, you really feel you an me in de same category??"
My goodness... I don't know nah... ah mean its nice to be chased but I prefer to pick my own.
I've always been the hunter.
Ah mean... that's the only way you guaranteed to get EXACTLY what you want.
But then I haven't really been after much men at all.
I once worked up the nerve to ask a guy out three years ago... we still going strong.
But I mean... I like to think I know quality when I see it so is not everything what come knocking at meh door ah go say come eenside.
If it is of course that a man who decide to gimme a chase come real good... well I must have considerations for dat but I really think that the older you become... its easier to identify things about the man who you want for yuh mate... so tings like a little chase ain't go really be no big ting.

Of Course ..just like the Wine....

hottawarrior - win lose or draw
As women get older we realise that men will chase after every skirt, and if we give them a chance and they could get all ah de skirts dey chasing, dey going take all. We have also realised that not every body that chasing we skirt can afford the skirt we have on, or is worth the time required to find out if he can afford the skirt.

We have become independent and no longer depend solely on any guy.

That being the case, and we know for a fact that there are sooo few good men out there, we have decided that its simply easier to choose who we want chasing us. lol.

ah mean, the odder day, every time ah pass on my way home from work, it have this boy (yes - boy) hailing meh out, want to talk to me, smiling. me ent mind, but.....whe he wuking? no where! what he doing with he time? liming on the street..and possibly selling drugs!! what i want with he?

I have to be going out of my God fearing mind to get with him! and that is what i mean about cant afford the shirt that we wearing.

IT have ah next one working in the gas station, and does do landscaping in he spare time... he does cut grass on mornings. (See i wasnt discriminating, i give he a chance), look at me and tell me he want to take me out...We will walk to Trincity Mall, and walk around, and if we going to the movies, we have to leave Arouca and go Tunapuna so he could pay $10 to see two shows. and obviously we going to have popcorn and cokes while in the movies and then come home.

I am sorry, i have outgrown the 'go to the movies and have popcorn and cokes' since ive been about 15. That was when i had my first job.

any hows, to get back to the question, if we see a guy that looks like he has potential , we will snap him up, quick, quick, quick. and hope he not married.

You may enjoy the chasing, but with that 'biological clock' just ticking away relentlessly in the back ground, we dont have the time to shift thru the guys who just looking for 'ah little ting' or 'some'.
