Yes, it's true. I brought along a few camo stuff, and I was told these weren't allowed in that country even though I was only in the neighbourhood, next time I'll not bring them at all, just to be on the safe note.

jody f
yes, and I unfortunately was told about it and was asked to change my shorts by the barbados police. It is what their military wear and only the military. If you are staying at a resort they probably wont say anything, but once you leave the resort you will be told. No camo clothes at all

Yes, it is true. You would be arrested and have to pay a fine

yes its true dont take them

J B
YES. The issue is that military style clothing (camo, combat) is reserved by law for island police and the military. I'm fairly certain it's only the Camoflauge pattern that is not legal to wear.

Yes, you are not allowed to wear any type of camoflage material

Yes, it is TRUE that you can not WEAR it. That type of clothing is only for the Barbados Defence Force or the police. Camouflage or the green material. This goes for scarves, belts, shoes, bags or anything in the camouflage material.
As a visitor you would not be arrested but would be advised to take it off and go and buy a shirt.

I have told many people already that it is not allowed and they were very appreciated of the advice.

I think that this came about because some fellows were pretending to be military personnel and went about stopping people and committing crime.
All you have to do is to bring other clothing to wear while you are here. I know that it looks good but it is best to abide with the laws of the land.
