Jouvert here allyuh. Sorry I took so long to respond Posse, but yuh gyul was out of the country for a few days and when I get back was wuk in meh tail!

Now to the question at hand, shall we?

TS, I am so glad that you asked about this. I have been researching this very topic for my doctoral thesis. For all who don't know I am pursuing an advanced degree in Bacchanalian Studies from Crapaud University.

Here is a brief synopsis of my paper:

The Contangarus (Stinkus Attitudus) is a mammal and is of the swine persuasion,

The Contangarus, order of Wutless Jagabat is indigenous to the open and lightly forested areas surrounding the scenic Caroni Swamp nestled on the island of Trinidad.

Today these animals roam freely througout the island and tend to congregate in heavily populated areas such as Port of Spain's picturesque Central Market or by the Kentucy on de Coffee.

The female of the species (Boofus Pentius) is primarily responsible for tending to the brood. She is often heard communicating in loud, squawking tones which to the human ear sound suspiciously like familar phrases such as " Hush yuh damn mouth!. What de a$$ happen to you? and" Whey de hell you feel yuh going?"

The males (Coonoomoonoo Largus) usually tend to gather in clusters largely ignoring the females until mating season when they can be heard crooning phrases like " Niceness, ah real check fuh yuh." and " Dahlin how yuh sweet so?"

The Contangarus is closely related to the Ahdamnvex of South America and the Werealignorant of the Greater Antillies.

Contangarus is a strange creature as it is both mammal and reptile. Its both warm and cold in the same creature.

imagine, walking thru the zoo, and say one of the lions escape (God forbid), drama breaks out, people get mauled. Cantangarus would be right here hiding in the background but still in the heat of everything.

and even days later when all the furor dies down, and the scene of the crime is now cold, the lion is recaptured, the injured persons got help and things are back to normal...Cantangarus will still be there, in the background, whispering little tidbits of this story to whoever or whatever passes and ask...more than likely the future tellings will be as opposite to what actually happened as day is to night.
