Show all answers

Shelley L
truthseeker is correct.. the bahamas is not in the caribbean, although it does participate in organizations and political policies of the caribbean.

It received it's independent from the British in 1973.
It's considered a Commonwealth.

mmuscs
No, it is not, it's in the Atlantic.

truthseekeer
Technically it is not part of the Caribbean, but is counted as part of the Americas geographically. However, it's policies are more in line with the Caribbean and it takes part in many Caribbean activities and organisations.

No, the Bahama Islands are NOT located in the Caribbean but rather offshore in the Atlantic - as is Bermuda.

The Bahamas have been independent from Britain since 1973 but is still considered a Commonwealth of that country. The populace is more closely tied to Britain than to the Caribbean in culture and history.

Look at a map and you can see where they are and how far they are from the Caribbean...

Richard K
No, just look at a map, you will easily see it isn't
