It depends on which side of the argument you are on. If you are saying The Bahamas are part of Florida then you will never prove you are correct because they are an independent country that is part of the British Commonwealth. |

The Bahamas is an independent island located south to south east of Florida. Freeport, Bahamas is approximately 60 miles by sea acrossed from Ft. Lauderdale. There are several islands that make up the chain of Bahamas.
