Is there an island in the Carribean that is not affected by the hurrcanes?

I would like to go on vacation somewhere in the Caribbean, but the hurricanes are stopping us. Where is a good HOT safe place(island) to stay?

Trinidad and Tobago- Two very beautiful islands, that are outside of the hurricane belt.

Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados have been luck and not experienced hurricanes in over 20 yrs. Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao are located outside of the hurricane belt. Margarita Island just off of Venezuela also is out of the belt.

All the options mentioned above are outside the usual hurricane belt. Out of all of them, Curacao and Aruba are generally the warmest. Located very close to south america, the climate is generaly dry and hot there. In my opinion, Curacao offers more activities to keep you entertained.

Barbados seems to escape and I think that the island of San Andres is also safe from hurricanes.

The "ABC Islands" [Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao] are supposed to be out of the hurricane zone. There are a lot of package deals to Aruba, not so many to the other two.

Check out TripAdvisor.com for advice from past guests at hotels all over the world and for destination guides. HomeAway.com has lists of condos/apts available all over the world.

Generally the southern part of the Caribbean will be the best. Here is an index that should help you. It lists more than the Caribbean but it looks to be quite comprehensive.
