The worst thing that ever happened to me in Jamaica was getting caught in a hurricane. After that, no problem.

All those people WHO saying that people offer them drugs on the street for sale they are cheep talker, and they they are scared walking on the stree they are just
a *** hole that is the best way I can describe them, I don't know where that get all this stuff they are saying about Jamaica they are talking about their own country, you have to be lucky to see ganja tree crowing in Jamaica, I know those people who are saying all these stuff never been to Jamaica,

other than getting bit by mosquitoes at my friends home...I had an awesome 2 weeks ...not in a resort either..we walked the roads.dodged traffic just like they do shopped ,negotiated prices, ate the food, spoke to strangers, children ..etc.LOVED it..if you go in fear then you will not experience the life or the culture.I would go back in a heartbeat...we have to be carefull no matter where you go ..the resorts make the money...they WANT you to be afraid..that way you spend all your money on their property.. too bad .because you may not be experiencing all the Island has to offer.Loved all of it....me come again soon....

Same thing, when we left the resort to go to town, it was a bit scary. Resort tours are cool, resorts have fun activities, they probably also sponsor "safe" shopping tours.

I understand it may be the same in other areas like that.

The attitude there was great. "Hey, mon, no problem." I liked that. I would go back.

I am only 17 so I may not know much but ,I went and it was really fun on the resort but, when you left the resort the town was scary..everyone offers you drugs and tries to make you buy them.. and in the little shops they try to trap you in there untill you buy someting. Other than that the weather in awesome and the water is crystal blue.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon and it was very scarey away from the resort we stayed in.

The resort had guards and was gated, so after a few days, we just decided to remain on property.

We take more limited domestic vacations now, like in Myrtle Beach, SC
