Just like the States you take your chances. It is illegal and Jamaican jail ain't pretty. Careful where you get it, it could get one that is laced. And don't smoke in public. And you are probably safer if you did go to Negril-more laid back.

It will be easy to find it everywhere but be warned that it is illegal in Jamaica. Furthermore, if you try to take it back with you, you could end up in jail either in Jamaica or at the port of entry when you return to the states.

No it is illegal in Jamaica. Do it in private you need to establish a relationship with someone before you buy !! Cops are trying to bust you,,,,do not buy at the airport and a heads up the jamaicans on surf boards and little boats 99% of the time have crap a .25 looks like a stalk of celery and that is no joke you will know it when you see it. Have an awesome time hey if you are bringing any girls have them try the "hummingbird" drink...they will love it : ) One more thing the first night you smoke if its the real thing ....dont drink , I am doing you a favor

It's not legal here and it's not legal there. Whoever told you that is lying, they're just stereotypical.

I don't advise you to smoke in public. It's not legal out there and many have this misconception that it is. It is same as drinking an open beer bottle here in the states, you will probably get a ticket. If you are going to do it, do it in your room or at night on the beach.

When I stayed in Montego Bay last month, the guys on the surf boards came up and tried to sell you weed. Also the workers did hint around about selling it. If you are going to do it please be careful. Enjoy your trip!

Smoking selling buying weed in Jamaica is a crime .

Noone offers you herb as they put it unless you go looking for it.

It is illegal and you will go to jail, and please, please don't try to take out any with you. They have sophisticated ways of finding out and you will spend time in a Jamaican jail; something you can do without. PLEASE.

It is illegal, but smoking at your resort is usually a safe bet. You can easily get some from the workers at the resort. We stayed 10 nights at a very nice resort in Negril and had no problem getting hooked up via a resort employee.

You will be offered weed many times. The best thing is to give a polite but firm "No thank you" because you don't know the seller isn't an undercover cop or someone that will turn you in for a reward. If you must smoke, it's best place to do it is in private in your room (if the hotel doesn't say anything). Smoking in public might extend your stay and the view won't be too great. Find an isolated stretch of beach or road or grass near the resort and do it there if you must. If your main objective is some weed smoking, you'd be better off heading for Negril where it's tolerated better.

Just keep it discreet and you will have no problems. You will smell it all around you but hardly see where it's coming from. You can buy it easily from bartenders or anyone you start talking to at the resort will hint around if they sell.
