My husband and I went to Jamaica last September. It was amazing! The weather was always nice and hot, with usually a little 30 minute rainfall during the day at some point. Dont worry though, the rain comes and goes quickly! We fell in love with Jamaica and are planning another trip there next summer. You will have a wonderful time! |

On average, it rains 11 days a month in Jamaica during September. The odds are in your favor. But yes, September also is part of the Caribbean hurricane season. |

Hi Jamaica is a fantastic place and at that time of year it will be hot but be prepared for the odd heavy rainstorm. It has to be said that there is also a risk of a hurricane,as you might have heard there has already been quite a serious one already in the Caribbean. (Last week)
The beaches there are fantastic with nice blue seas.you will love it.As with any country in the world just use your common sense when exploring.Of course there are some districts on the island it is not recommended to visit ,especially alone, but then you can say that of London or New York.If you are in any doubt about safety issues just ask your tour operator ,or tour rep,or even ask for advice from management of your Hotel.
I would say 99% of visitors leave having a wonderful and memorable time ,as i am sure you will to.have a great holiday, enjoy. |
