Jamaica would be my choice , but not just Jamaica , Negril where you can still feel like and act like anyone you want to be . Friendly people , great food good prices . Negril is where the jungle meets the sea , and Americans meet friends .

I say Jamaica, the culture is much different and less touristy. Just make sure you go to a big resort that is near a big city(Kingston maybe?). I went to Ocho Rios and I was one of the only american families there. The rest were pompous brits who werent interested in talking to americans which kinda hurt the expirience for me. The City itself was pretty small and had nothing to really offer someone interested in the "non-resort" expirience. Jamaicans are really friendly and I had some very amazing conversations with several of the workers at the resort. Jamaica seems to have more soul than Hawaii, which is why I think I enjoyed it muuuuch more. Hope this helps!

Jamaica in a heartbeat. Closer, cheaper, better food, affordable all-inclusives, cheaper tours, adventurous options, nice beaches.

Both places are breathtaking, but Id choose Jamaica. Thatz only because I'm in love with the food

Jamaica!! I was just their in October..terrific weather, wonderful beaches and awesome food. Plus its cheaper than Hawaii and has no earthquakes (I stayed at a hotel called the Royal Decameron in Montego bay...google it)

Been to both and hands down Hawaii wins.

You cannot compare Hawaii and Jamaica.

Hawaii will cost you more $$ but Hawaii is a once in a lifetime trip where Jamaica is an Island that you can vacation to anytime.
