Yes, do expect to be offered, a simple no thanks and you should be ok... I recommend being cool though, understand that a lot of the tourists that go to Jamaica do WANT to purchase what the locals have for sale so it's kinda like going to a barber shop but not wanting a hair cut... I usually make a joke out of the question, and say "no mon, I came for the sunshine not the weed, we have tons of that back home."
Also, the locals in Jamaica tend to be offended when tourists act scared around them, so please don't do this. They are just regular people trying to make a "buck" selling whatever it is they have.... |

Yep, happens all the time, but not just on the beach, anywhere you go. But its risky, so leave them alone. |

it's not so much on the beach. it's anywhere the public is. i've never experienced it inside the resort but that's not to say it doesn't happen. Also remember... IT'S ILLEGAL!! Just say NO!! You don't want to be locked up abroad. |

If it happens all you need to say is no. End of conversation. |

Yes it might happen anywhere you go even here in Barbados. All you have to do is to politely say no. You can not stay in your hotel for the duration of your stay so do not let that stop you from enjoying yourself. |

No, my advice is to stay at an all inclusive, and stay in the resort, if you go out then you never know what will happen :( |
