Drugs that are illegal in the U.S. are illegal in JA........maybe with the exception of mushrooms....not sure about that..........penalties for small amount of marijuana are light........a small fine.......possession of large amounts can mean jail time......if you want to use ganja, be careful of who and where you buy, and be discreet where you smoke........jamaicans smoke on the street, but corrupt police might make such practice a big problem for tourists........

drugs are illegal in jamaica it is a no no if you are caught buying or selling drugs am almost positive you will spend some time in jail or you will be charged a huge fine.

I suppose u can google it. But illegal drugs means jail time or fines especially if you are trying to export it. People in jamaica do smoke marijuana on the streets at 'dances' especially if it is a rastafarian type dance, the police know they do and it it not such a big problem - this depends on how lenient the police is though - on the whole marijuana and cocaine, etc are illegal and u dont want to get caught with them if the police are in a bad mood.

When you arrive there....you may pass a large crop field that shows a burnt...shot up plane that was left there to show tourist that Jamaicans frown upon illegal drugs. This is not to say you cannot find...@ the airport...men will be waiting with a posing question...." you want Jamaican smoke or you want to see it snow?" be very careful because they know your from somewhere else...and can hold you and there goes your vacation...try to deal with the all inclusive for all the pre-paid liquor you'll need. Everything will still be IRIE !

Most drugs are illegal but readily available . Ganja is openly smoked almost everywhere . And I might add excellent .
