Here are some good choices:

* Culebra, Puerto Rico
* Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
* Les Saintes, Martinique
* Bequia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines
* Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago

I think you would have a hard time finding one that wasn't. Jamaica was just perfect! 80 degrees, white sand, you could see the bottom at 30 feet and the people on our resort were so nice.

Pretty much all of the Caribbean has what you are looking for. The Dominican Republic is really nice, I have been there.

mk:)
st Lucia is reely good.

If it's simply a matter of beaches and clear water, you can't do better than the Turks and Caicos Islands, voted two years in succession as having the best beaches in the world, let alone the Caribbean!

Grenada is Beauitiful!!!!!!! It is the largest island in the Caribbean.. I have lived there for over a year because my husband goes to school here. WWW.SGU.EDU There are some pictures on that site too.. Good luck!!

As you can see, the options are plentiful. What else are you looking for? It is here that you may find your answer.

Duty Free Shopping and Nightlife and Culture and Casinos: St. Martin/Maarten (Half French/Half Dutch)
Quiet Seclusion: St. Lucia
Just a Beach: Antigua has 365 - One for each day of the year
No Passport: Puerto Rico and The US Virgin Islands
Less Expensive: Riviera Maya - South of Cancun
Minimal Development: Roatan Island - Honduras
Great Diving: Belize

As you can see...If you ask more questions, you will find exactly what you desire.

Easy to answer.)

St John (USVI)
Virgin Gorda (BVI)
Anguilla
Providenciales (Turks & Caicos)

There are many others but these are the islands I have the best memories of.

I've been to Punta Cana, Aruba, Antigua, St.Lucia,
La Romana, D.R., Mayan R. Akumal, nice snorkeling right off the beach there, But! Turks and Caicos had to have the clearest water then anywhere that I have ever seen .
Nice and laid back there as well as snorkeling and pure white
powdery sand.
I almost forgot Holguin, Cuba, cheap and absolutely pristine, crystal clear, cool water.

Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island is one of the few spots in the world where a ship can anchor out and you can see the anchor on the seabed. It's got either Five Mile Beach or Seven Mile Beach (the other is in Negril, Jamaica). While I don't recommend the Caymans (to much like an American resort with all the fast food places and name brands), the question isn't where to go.

St.Lucia is GORGEOUS!! i've been there before.

Try Roatan in the far Western Caribbean. It is like living 50 years ago. No neon signs, tall high rise hotels. Just a beautiful lifestyle with many of the modern conveniences. Crystal clear warm water white sandy beach.

Barbados...white sandy beaches tepid blue waters. You can try out a beach named "The Crane" which is located on the south coast, its known for its crystal clear waters and its sand,the south coast beaches also offer stunning beaches favoured by many becuz of their moderate waves and crystal clear waters and if ur into surfing the best beaches are located on the east coast of the island especially great for pro surfers...take it from me i live here

I love my baby boy!
Um, yeah, that's about all you're going to find there. The beaches don't vary much.

Cayman is like being in an aquarium. Bermuda has pink beaches (not in the Caribbean). Most of the hotel beaches in the Caribbean are lovely.Jamaica-Ocho Rios is not as crowded as Montego Bay on the beach. Kingston does not have any white sands. Alot of the islands claim to have a 7 mile beach too ! Amazingly so. BARBADOS has the Atlantic Ocean on one side , good only for surfing. The rest of the Caribbean are islands in the calm, beautiful aqua water rolling up on soft white sands! ENJOY !
