I was on vacation in Barbados in October. The exchange rate is basically US$1.00=BD$2.00. It should actually be US$1.00=BD$1.98 but they say that it is easier to convert at 2 to 1. So if you want to purchase something in Barbados for BD$30.00, you would only pay US$15.00.
Hope this helps.
