Try the Cruise again. When you take the cruise you should be able to save money on the foods! And be able to visit different island around the Caribbean. HAve fun!

We have been to Playa Del Carmen twice....it is all inclusive and the BEST thing ever. WE have stayed 2 diff properties, but we heard their are some really great all couple places there. We stayed at Iberostar Tucan, and Reef Club previously, the Iberostar is to die for, the other was NICE but to small of property for 7 days. Have fun and good luck.

You lovers should take a trip to Paris, where all the magic happens. It would be very romantic for both of you and you can meet all kinds of people and get to know that other side of the world for a change.! It could be a new beginning for both of you!

How about a cruise to Alaska? Not exactly carribeans, but I heard it is beautiful.

Agree
Jamaica does not fit your budget then I say go back to Cancun Mexico or consider Merida, Mexico other option you take a Cruise to Cayman Island, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico where you not pay for hotel. Or go with airline and hotel package shopping for prices to meet budget. Barbados and Puerto Rico also has good deals.
Also buy the New York Sunday Times. In the Travel section I found the best deals.
email me if you need more data

If you've got the money, check into the Aventura Spa Palace in the Rivieria Maya - it is a no-kids all-inclusive resort.

Its not the carribean, but I would suggest Key West. I have been there twice and for such a small island, there is an array of things to do. You can spend your entire time just relaxing at one of the bed and breakfasts on Duvall Street and feel like you are a million miles away. But if you walk 5 blocks down Duvall you enter party city. So you get the best of both worlds. The last time I went, my friend and i rented mopeds to get around the island. We went to Ernest Hemingway's house, checked out the old cemetary, and found some really awesome restaraunts that you would think was someones house. Its just a very awesome place to go and you almost forget that you are still in the United States. Its like a carribean vacation, minus the accent. :)

CRocket
Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Its about 50 miles south of Cancun, all-inclusive, decently priced, and really paradisey.
