I have only visited the Caribbean once, but I had a GREAT time !!!!

I stayed at an all inclusive resort in Nigril, Jamaica. There are several resorts there, I was at Grand Lido Nigril. The water in Nigril is turquoise blue and pleasantly warm.

There was a catamaran that took our group across the reefs and over to the town of Nigril where you can cliff dive into the sea, or have a drink at the cliff-side bar. You can check out equipment for snorkeling and all sorts of beach sports ... or you can stay in your room on your private balcony and enjoy each other. There are a couple nightclubs and plenty of beach-side bars.

Just my one experience, but it was amazing. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I go to the carrabean frequently from working on cruise liners. I recommend barbados. All the top restaurants and hotels are on that particluar island for some reason and the list of activities you can do is endless, lots of golf courses and water actvities like snorkelling and it is a picture of paridise if that is what you are looking for whereas Antigua and St Lucia are more rugged. I wouldn't reccomend going to Dominica Republic, its like the caribbean answer to Benidorm.

I suggest Grenada. Not just because I'm from there but because it's a really great place. the crime rate is extremely low, the people are freindly, the food is great and there are lots of great things to do and see. Its very nice. Oprah Winfrey and Morgan Freeman have property on the island. Check out these sites. http://grenadaexplorer.com/ https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/gj.html http://www.grenadagrenadines.com/index2.html

The Virgin Islands of the USA or the Virgin islands of Britain are very nice places to honeymoon. They have beautiful beaches and fun things to do. If you are looking for all-inclusive resort type honeymoon, I think the Sandal Resorts are the best. They are having a big sales right now.
Here is their website
http://www.sandals.com

I suggest you go to your local travel ageny to book your honeymoon. They have many connections and good prices to many package.

Congratulations and good luck.)

Ì agree with Tankman. Negril, Jamaica is one of the most romantic and beautiful places to visit and I have never been there for a honeymoon and you just feel the love when you are there. My favorite line is the Sunset is breathtaking especially with the one you love

I recommend the Dominican Republic!!
It has great beaches and all inclusive resorts in the areas of Punta Cana, Bavaro, Puerto Plata, Boca Chica...
I just got back a month ago and had a blast!!
I stayed at Iberostar in Puerto Plata...

That is too bad...a honeymoon is best taken directly after the wedding...makes it more of an exciting "whirlwind" experience...
