Your best bet is to take a cruise from San Juan. From there, you can get a great presentation of the other islands in a week-long cruise. I did a Royal Caribbean cruise from there that went to St Thomas, St Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. Each island had its own charm. |

I went to Labadee (private owned by Royal Caribbean), Ocho Rios (walk up this waterfall and swim with the dolphins), Cayman Islands (sting Ray city!!) and Cozumel ... and we had a blast (7 day) |

I've only been to the Bahamas, but I don't think it's that great. It's nice, but sort of dull. I would suggest you check out Jamaica, or Puerto rico, or Aruba. |

St Kitt, St Lucia, Barbados, Puerto Rico, St Thomas St Martin, Curaco, Grand Caymen are all nice. Each has it's own features & charm.

We went to the Caribbeans. We stopped at Freeport and also Nassau. (on different islands) You are out about 3-4 days. If you have not been on a cruise before, I suggest doing those for a shorter cruise, incase you don't like it, you are not stuck for a week, 10 days or longer. You can always take a longer cruise later if you find out you like it. |

Your first choice will be the cruise ship, cabin etc. The question of which islands to visit will be up to them, not you.
As far as I know, no one picks the islands and then looks for the ship that go to them. That's almost impossible except in a bareboat charter. |

Aruba and Bahamas are very nice i have been to the bahamas and heard from a freind about aruba and at the bahomas you can see a spot where james bond filmed part of a movie!! |

It depends where you go. I lived in Puerto Rico for 4 years and it was awesome. So, that is one to visit. The Virgin Islands, US and British, are beautiful and fun. I know a bunch of people that have gone to the Bahamas, even to do work there, and just being there made them feel like they should pack up and move there. That is just a few that I know about. I would personal try to visit what I could to get the best experience out of it. THe life down there is so layed backed, the food is great (most of the time it is great because it is fresh from the land and sea), the music is nice, and the people are happy all over. |
