I often tell people that the secret is to find the resort that is just right for them. Most of your time will be spent there so that is the most important decision. Read the amenities of interesting resorts and you can quickly decide whether the resort interests you or not. You can learn a lot from that website and it can make for a well informed vacation. Also, go to superclubs.com. They are a chain that has the largest and most well known resorts in the Caribbean. Almost certainly they will have one that fits you. |

If your going to Kingston you should definitely stay in Knoxford Court hotel! I went to Jamaica with my mom and sister over the summer and we stayed at that hotel for the first three days (before departing to Ocho Rios for the rest of our stay) and it was WONDERFUL. The food is excellent, you have immediate service and quality rooms, and the room service has a broad selection to choose from :) |

My wife and I prefer Grand Lido Braco. The food there is very good, nice beach, excellent staff and no children allowed. I've been working in Jamaica for almost seven years and have been to around 75 different resorts, so far Grand Lido is my favorite. |

Take Dave's advice and visit tripadvisor.com...so much info there from those who have visited. My hubby and I really enjoy Sandals Negril. So much so we go back every year. |

I stayed in the RIU resort in Ocho Rios. Great value for the money. Awesome snorkeling and close to town for shopping trips. I recommend the place. |
