sorry to hear that, we like tourism, but let me tell you a little secret: we have a good nose for tourists who think that because they are tourists we have to kiss a&&, and ain't going to happen. if you go with an "i think i deserve everything, so cater me all the way because i'm paying" attitute, you will leave the island frustrated. i don't feel offended if you don't want to go to my wonderful island, one less to feed. and good luck in jamaica, i hope they welcome you with a stage full of mariachis and a carnival, all in your name. |

Did you ever think it was you who was giving off the "stay away" vibe. Each time I go I feel nothing but welcomed and always have a great time. But I have a great time wherever I go because that is the reason I go on vacation, all negativity is left at the security checkpoint in NYC and I pick it back up on my way home. LOL :) Have fun in Jamaica but give PR a fair chance. Come again. |

Probably you visited the wrong places, the wrong night clubs, at the wrong time, maybe with the wrong people. Sorry to hear you felt ignored; even though we are a Spanish speaking country, I can say that about 60 % of people can actually speak English, so probably you felt ignored because some people could not understand you . In my opinion, if people told you to come to visit Puerto Rico it is because they had a good time here, don't you think? :)
I hope you can have fun at Jamaica, it is a beautiful island, and I respect your opinion.
