The Goddess
Tie between bahamas and Jamaica.

Bahamas as described by friends who've visited: Bahamas was really relaxing. it's a place that you just lay in the sun and relax and eat conch and drink fruity alcohol drinks. But, it's a place for only WEEKEND visits. Because there really isn't much to do but enjoy the scenery and beaches. But, it's a great place to GET AWAY from the stresses! They would def. go back to unwind! Plus it's mighty cheap to do so!

Jamaica as described by friends and me: Jamaica is a perfect blend of EVERYTHING. If you want to chill..you can definetly chill out. Have the cooker make lobster, or fried fish, or whatever on the beach. It can be as RELAXING as you choose. But, if you want a bit of partying, you can def. have the time fo your life with the dances they have..and tourist attractions. The culture is so bold an in your face compared to any other caribbean island. You feel like everything is really going to be alright in Jamaica because life can either be easy going..or party central.

But, i think BAHAMAS is a better place of you. It's weekend..it's relaxation, its a get away! HAVE FUN!

Other places characteristics:
Trinidad: Pure partying!

Aruba: Nice people..windy..and beautiful..best place to go BY YOURSELF..very safe. But as far as I've heard, no culture and very boring sometimes..

Bermuda: haven't heard too much..but its very nice and sunny..laid back vibes..kind of bahamas and aruba-ish

out of all the places there i LOVE jamaica the most. It was Soo much fun. my family stayed at Tralawny resort (Now named Starfish trelawny(sp? probably spelt wrong)) all inclusive resorts. if your looking for something a littler more comericalised bahamas is the place to go they have some nice spots there too... aruba is more expensive then jamaica in my opinion for most things... Jamaica is my all time favorite of all the islands though.

its hard to say where to go though if ur only going for the weekend. but if u just want to relax go to jamaica

Even though I love Trini and would go there at a drop of a dime, it's not really a place you go for just a weekend. If you're going to do Trini right, you need at least a week or two. If you're looking for a quick & relaxing getaway weekend, I'd go to the Bahamas. I don't know where you're coming from, but flights to the Bahamas are always pretty cheap (and quick), and you can usually find a nice hotel for a decent price. Be sure to eat some conch fritters when you go. And if you go to Nassau, make sure to go to The Poop Deck for a mango daiquri. They're delicious!

Nasika
To Trinidad and Tobago. I heard is a lovely place.

If you're going for a quick weekend trip I would suggest the Bahamas or Bermuda as they are the closest and cheapest to get to from the US. If you want to do more than just lay on the beach, I would choose Jamaica or Trinidad, they're the liveliest.

MomSezNo
Bahamas - Bermuda might not be warm enough, the others are too far for a weekend trip.

If you want to experience Atlantis without the high price, you can stay at Comfort Suites and have access to the facilities at Atlantis.

TripAdvisor.com is a good source for hotels.

Easy...Arruba has the best beaches from the places on your list. Though the beaches in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic are much better!! ;-)
