Once Castro dies, who of you think that Cuba will become the new hot spot of the Caribbean?

I don't think it will be right away once he dies !! it will take TIME AND MONEY but eventually YES !!! Cuba is the most beautiful island on the Carribean ( beach, people, music, night life) !! it has no comparison

Victor
I do

Behaving like a prophet is risking making a mistake, but I would like to say something

In the previous comunist countries, as soon as the soviet union went down, they threw comunism to the garbage

WE want to do the same. Only thing blocking it is big brother.
About little brother is any body's guess

Within Cuba there is a great pressure demanding changes, but the brothers do not allow it, because they fear that it will cause their fall

Since it is OUR country, I think that WE should be the ones to decide what to do in our country, like if we want to have McDonald's, like it happened in the former soviet union.
The first McDonald in Moscow had 5,000 people waiting outside the first day

Sadly, prostitution has been happening in our country due to the poverty created by the regime. Hopefully, it will cease when the regime does not exist anymore

We were the hot spot for centuries. After the discovery of america, the strategic location of cuba made it practically the mandatory place for the ships to stop whenever they came or went to europe

Our country has been called the Key of the Caribbean

I know that some people don't like the commentary, but after the coming of comunism, we fell in a dark age. That is the truth

nadie
I really hope so. Our poor country has suffered too much for the last 50 years. We need some relief

In eastern Europe as soon as they could, they eliminated comunism, which is a failed and ruthless system

We want that to change

Der Schreckliche
I think so.
By the way, which castro do you mean ?
fidel, raul or ramon ?

Before the castros we were a very advanced country. Now, sadly, we are among the most backwards

We Cubans hope so. Our country has been in a terrible situation under the dominion of the brothers.

Right, it will take time and money, true.
But many people will come to pour money in Cuba, including the exiles, who will return in multitudes, even those who now say they won't, they will, at least for the novelty

You know, I might be mistaken, of course, but I would say that whatever we do in our country is our personal business

There is no need for not Cubans telling us what to do. Thanks but not thanks

cubalishus
Cuba is the most amazing country, the people are wonderful, the scenery is amazing, as long as the Americans don't go in and take it over then it will stay the best place in the Caribbean.

Tropicales
Cuba is already the hot spot of the Caribbean! :-)
But I see what you mean about the regime. Cuba is already beautiful. Beaches like no other and the people like no other. It will only be more enhanced in every way when things change. But so as long as high commercialism doesn't ruin Cuban beauty.

Riki
It is of course already very popular for vacationers other than Americans. Canadians go in droves as do Europeans. To many of us it is already a hotspot. So many Americans want to go and it is their loss. Cubans are incredible, kind, loving and proud of their country. Most people who go return again and again. I don't necessarily believe that the death of Castro would change the country from Communism since there are no doubt others waiting to continue. Possibly there wil be a movement to wards Socialism which may help and after the U. S. election you may also see more dialogue between the two countries.edit: It is such a pleasure to visit a country which isn't dominated by McDonalds, Starbucks, Time share sales people, casinos and the overt prostitution so common in places like the DR.
