The best time to visit PR is in November and December. Like to shop, go to Plazas Las Americas or the Old San Juan. Food is great, weather is awesome. Nights are cooler, sunset is around 6 PM. If you are lucky you will be able to hear the Coqui singing. Have a great time.

Perfect time to visit! You did not mention what part of the island you were coming in to but the west side of the island (especially Rincon) has the best beaches for swimming, surfing or just for tanning. Love Rincon because it has great places to stay, eat or just roam around. Try renting a car (I recommend Angelo's car Rental at 787-823-3438 / b-smarrentacar.com) As for salon and wonderful spa treatments Altieri at 787-429-8509. Enjoy your visit to the island!
